Agate Seminar 

The seminar introduces the Centre and its application focus, provides a forum for knowledge transfer between research, innovation, and practice, strengthens the Centre’s international visibility, and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration by regularly including cross-disciplinary topics.

In the upcoming year, the seminars will address the following themes and many more:

• Fair distribution of indivisible items – mechanisms and algorithms for allocating discrete goods fairly (such as envy-freeness, proportionality, and EF1),

• Algorithmic Social Choice – how algorithmic tools can support society and individuals in collective decision-making, voting, and e-justice.

• Repairable Optimization – models of networks (transport, communication, energy) and optimization challenges where an optimized outcome can be efficiently and satisfactorily modified and repaired after failures, ensuring resilience.
