Agate Seminar
a cornerstone of the Centre
The seminar introduces the Centre and its application focus, provides a forum for knowledge transfer between research, innovation, and practice, strengthens the Centre’s international visibility, and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration by regularly including cross-disciplinary topics.
In the upcoming year, the seminars will address the following themes and many more:
-
Fair distribution of indivisible items – mechanisms and algorithms for allocating discrete goods fairly (such as envy-freeness, proportionality, and EF1),
-
Market of information completion – how incomplete information can be aggregated or completed via markets achieving efficient outcomes.
-
Repairable flow networks – models of networks (transport, communication, energy) where flows can be rerouted or repaired after failures, ensuring resilience.
One of the cornerstones of the Agate Centre is the Agate Seminar, a regular event that connects Czech research in computer science, optimisation, and socioeconomics with the Centre’s activities.
