Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

Martin Loebl has been coordinating the Czech participation in the REU-DIMACS (Research Experience for Undergraduates) programme for almost ten years.

In 2026, three Czech students spent from May 26 to July 17 at DIMACS, Rutgers University (USA), supported by RSJ. At DIMACS, they carried out research under the guidance of world-leading scientists from the New York area.

The programme then continued in Prague, where six U.S. students, together with the three Czech participants, joined a two-week training programme organised by the Agate Centre from July 19 to August 1.

By bringing together talented undergraduate students from Europe and the United States, the programme provides a unique opportunity to gain international research experience, collaborate with leading researchers, and build long-term scientific connections.
