Agate Has Launched

The opening day brought together around 35 participants and a number of distinguished guests, including Milena Králíčková, Rector of Charles University; Mirko Rokyta, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics; and Jiří Sgall, Vice-Dean for Computer Science. Members of the Agate team, research and application partners, colleagues involved in other ERA Chair projects, as well as junior researchers and students also took part.

The programme introduced the vision and foundations of the new centre. Martin Loebl opened the event with an overview of the centre’s mission, followed by Michel Grabisch, who presented its key research areas. Helena Gráfová introduced the newly developed visual identity, and Helena Nyklová outlined the Horizon Europe project that supports the centre’s establishment.
